The halter raffle is still going on. The halter is beautiful and the tickets should be easy to sell, so let’s get out there and sell more tickets. We will probably draw the winning ticket at the October show, after we have had a chance to sell more tickets.

Good news adults!! The adult classes will now receive the rosette ribbons. Linda Holman donated the money to purchase first and second place rosette ribbons for the adult classes. Now all classes will receive the rosette ribbons this year. Thank you Linda and Lyle!! When you receive your rosette ribbon, be sure and thank Linda.

"On the drawing board." We are thinking of ways to sponsor a donated saddle to give away at the 2009 awards banquet. Maybe we will give a ticket for each class entered during the year and have a drawing at the banquet. This saddle will be paid for by donations. I already have two individuals who are interested in helping out financially. It would be nice to have one saddle to give away in each age group, but so far it looks like only one saddle. We are working on three saddles, just need sponsors to help out. If anyone is willing to help out with a donation, please let me know.

The next Urbana show is scheduled for Saturday, September 6^th to begin at 4:00 p.m. Check with an officers or board member if you are unsure about the arena conditions. With the price of gas so high, we don’t want anyone to make the drive if we have had to cancel a show, so please call.
